    Good Morning!

I found a crown jewel in a beautiful clear sky this morning and it is bathing the land with its beauty. The high will be 43 and the low of 32.

I am thinking of several options for dinner, but my brain is not accepting any of them at the moment. Beef and noodles, stuffed peppers, sausage gravy over biscuits and eggs, chili over baked potatoes, and the thoughts go on. I'll settle on something pretty soon as I need pulling items from the freezer sooner rather than later.

What have you decided on for your delicious dinner?

Wow ltb. I'm in the same boat. Ran out of left overs so gotta cook. Lol. You gave me some good ideas. the sausage gravy, buscuits and eggs sounds like what's going to happen here. I truly meant to get out a butt roast last night BUT oops.
it's sunny and windy for now. Clouds, light snow this afternoon. High 39. Low 30

We're having a cheesy ham and potato casserole with some garden green beans from the freezer. We have PLENTY of food in the house but are trying harder than ever to blitz with the price of groceries. Maybe we'll be able to see the light from the back of the freezer if we can keep this up!

We have another heatwave coming... the next ten days will all be 90°f plus with the hottest day at 102°f. We decided to do some work outside before that happens. John and I cleaned out the courtyard. All that needs doing now is to vacuum out the dust between the paving stones, give it a wash with the hose and clean the windows that face into that area. Andrew will spend a day with us as soon as we get a cooler day and he'll help me to plant some cuttings and split up the pots of mixed succulents. Then we realised that it was garbage night and this fortnight, the green waste bin needs to go out. We recently told our landlord that we needed to "trim" the tree at the front of the house and he didn't respond so I'm assuming permission given. What we didn't say was that we were going to hack the s**t out of it in an attempt to save it. The landlord knows nothing about gardening... in fact he told my that prunus graft that the proper tree is growing from is a fruit tree. He's welcome to eat them but I know they are only ornamental plums and they make a big mess. Under the tree we can see at least 50 small trees that have grown from the plums that dropped off over the years. We intend to remove all growth from the graft and see what's left of the original tree. It looks alive and well at the top so even if no leaves are growing below the graft growth, it will only take a year to get back to what it's meant to look like. We quickly filled the green waste bin and I'd estimate that we removed about 5% of what needs to go. By the time we'd done all that outside work we were pooped. I'll soon fill those pots up and I've ordered some more online. The bike is very old and just an ornament that will soon have a basket growing some kind of flowers and a pot secured to the carrier above the back wheel. The old iron bedhead leaning behind the bike was my grandmother's bed when she was a child. My sister has the other end of it, again just an ornament.

Going out tomorrow to pick up our new water cooler from OfficeWorks and hopefully I'll remember to get a new diary and a USB cable for the car while I'm there.

Dinner was surprisingly good... a very tender piece of rump steak, baked potato and salad.

It’s been cool and cloudy all day and it started sprinkling a little while ago. I noticed some light wind, and I hope it doesn’t get any stronger, fingers crossed. I got some dusting and vacuuming done this afternoon, and I still need to do a bit of decluttering too. I swear, when I win the Mega Millions I’m going to hire a housekeeper!

I took half a Costco rotisserie chicken out of the freezer and I’m going to have a chicken Caesar salad and garlic bread for dinner.

                  D'sMom,

Thank you for the compliment. I have always found words are magical. They can take you anywhere, you become anyone or anything, travel the world and time but most of all they have the power for building up people, making them feel important, powerful, awesome, that they matter but most of all they are recognized for who they are and that they are needed. They can also be so cruel and hurtful being used by people that are just unkind but can be reversed by the beauty of someone knowing how you can use words in a powerful way lifting people up.

I have written poems, read them and read a lot of books on powerful sayings from people that know how using words are such an amazing tool.
