  • January 12th Dinner Post

    Good Morning!

The sky is totally covered with dark, gray clouds that are there for the duration of the day. The high of 50 and the low of 31 with rain that will transition into snow overnight.

I am not sure what dinner will be but right now am thinking a ham and broccoli quiche with swiss cheese, toast with apple butter and fruit.

What will be your dinner this evening?

Another hot day and decided to stay home in the airconditioning. The good news for today is that my new computer is up and running. I've been flipping from one to the other for a couple of weeks but as of today, my old one is kicked to the curb.

For dinner, John had two lamb chops, mashed potato, baked onion and carrots; I had pasta.

Light, wet snow fell over night...still snowing enough just to be pretty!
While cleaning out the bedrooms, we've been collecting stuff to go to our re-use centre, we did a drop off there and then continued on to pick up clothing donations from some people that will be going to the Ukraine....hubby and I also managed to gather up a large contractors garbage bag full of our no longer used clothing, winter hats, & coats. He is taking all to neighbouring Legion this aft where they have a large trailer for all these items .
Back tracking here.....I made for the first time a hummingbird bread yesterday. I have had and made hummingbird cake before, this bread is a bit different. It turned out so very good!
Dinner today will more breaded veal cutlets, herb & butter noodles and peas.

Mudder, I love hummingbird cake but have never heard of hummingbird bread. I am sure I would love it!! I have been watching one of the grandkids the last few days. Hes easy to entertain but he hates dog with a passion so its a bit of a pain in the butt, at least he likes the cats. I am making keilbasa with cabbage and noodles for dinner.

It’s been chilly, gray and kind of sprinkling all day, and judging by the black clouds to the west it’s going to get really wet later. It’s been one of those lazy kind of days, did some reading on the Cubii while I did 3200 reps this afternoon, but that’s really about all I’ve done.

I took a package of Rana Italian sausage ravioli out of the freezer and I’m going to put it in some dressed up marinara and have a small salad with it.
