The hot weather must have affect me even more than I thought... I went to bed very early and slept for 13 hours! Good thing I wasn't planning anything for the morning because I kinda slept through it.

The cool change came through at around 8pm and it was so nice to turn the AC off and open all the doors. I left them open all night. For the first time in a week, there are no ants on the kitchen bench. We have ten days of reprieve before the next heat wave so we'll make the best of it.

For dinner we each had something different. John had lamb chops, baked potato, onion and peas; I had some leftover mashed potato with apricot chicken.

Oh sure rosie, I had kind of forgotten about doing it. It’s a pressure cooker recipe but can easily adapt to Instant Pot or can be done on stovetop, though there are no directions for that.

Charlene, I went through all pages on tnt. I did not see recipe for chickpea, tomato and spinach dish. Sounds so good. Would you be so kind as to share?

Quiet at my house today. Frankie is on the back of my love seat. He loves to climb up there. I am sitting waiting for someone to arrive shortly. I actually should be blowing my hair dry but. I need to come up with a meal plan. Enjoy yourself ur day.

    January 17th Dinner Post

    Good Morning!

It is overcast and raining with the high of 53 and the low of 37.

I pulled a deconstructed stuffed cabbage casserole from the freezer and will bake that tonight for dinner along with leftover rice we did not eat last night and will make a small Waldorf salad.

What will your meal of choice tonight?
Working...
