    Good Morning!

I see some sun struggling through the clouds so that makes me a happy person. A chance of light snow and the high of 34 and the low of 30.

It is time that I pull out some bacon from the freezer that I have already pre-baked and use the last of the homemade loaf of bread and also pull some applesauce from the freezer. That will make a dinner of french toast, bacon and applesauce that just sounds really good this morning for dinner tonight.

What direction are you going for your Friday night dinner?

It's flippin cold. Wind chill is brutal. There's sun now but sound like we're getting the gambit today. Snow then rain. wind, wind chills in lower teens.
just have a tad of potatos left. We decided to have them as a side with a big ol burger and veggies. Think I'll make a peach upside down cake.

How about a buffet and then you will have bacon for the burgers, homemade applesauce and I can have some scalloped potatoes that I love? French toast goes with everything in my book.

It's bright out there, but bit chilly and blustery...contemplating asking hubby to drive me to bank, I'm wimping out on the walk already lol
We have lots of leftover ham and fixin's but not sure if we will even be home for dinner. May be going to the town where our DS DIL and Keekers live...the town is having their annual Fire & Ice winter celebration...fireworks, and tubing slides, ice skating in the town centre park. It's a neat set up...the hill coming in to town will be the tube runs. Right downtown will be a huge bonfire, band playing, hot chocolate and a lot of store open with sales. Festivities are on all wknd. I'd really like to go tonite especially to see the fireworks, but may be too late for Kian.

Another very hot day here... over 100°f. We had arranged to go out for dinner with our family. We went to Glenelg Surf Lifesaving club... nice restaurant but tonight it was beyond busy and very noisy. The food was good and we were served quickly despite the number of people there. I had battered flathead with salad and sweet potato chips; John had crumbed lamb cutlets, gravy and vegetables. There was a lovely view of the beach from our table.

Tomorrow will be cooler. We are going back to Julia's house for an early dinner. My contribution is to make a pavlova. I haven't made one for a few years so I hope it turns out. Pavlovas can be tricky to make... success depends on the weather. Too humid and the eggs won't hold peaks.

It's still hot tonight. Right now it's 4.45am and the temperature is still a muggy 85°f. John went to bed hours ago. I've been culling photos that are stored on my computer and putting the keepers into folders.
Effort only fully releases its rewards after a person refuses to quit.

It’s been cloudy all day, the forecast is calling for a lot of rain and heavy wind over the weekend. I don’t mind the rain so much but I could sure do without the winds. I better make sure all my flashlights have batteries in them, I made sure I got a bunch of batteries at Costco. I’ve been doing the big loads of laundry today, rugs, towels, sheets etc. and I’ve been reading between these tasks.

I’m thinking a nice grilled cheese sandwich and some soup sounds great for tonight’s dinner. I’ll have either half a Cosmic Crisp (they’re really big!) apple or a couple of Mandarins with it.
