    Good Morning!

Good Morning Mr. Sun!! It is very cold this morning but warming up with a high of 36 and the low of 31 along with a partly sunny sky today.

DGS loved the crescent roll cheesecake I made yesterday and kept getting small pieces last night and he said I did a great job on it.

I am solo tonight so am making creamed tuna with peas on toast along with fruit.

What have you decided on for your dinner tonight?
Heritic, rebel, a thing to flount,
He drew a circle that shut me out.
But love and I had the wit to win,
We drew a circle that took him in.

It's brutally cold with the wind chill at 0.
I just decided we're having pan fried fish and fried potatos. Wish I had a big ol garden tomato but boo I don't. Had I planned ahead would have made ramen slaw but out of cabbage **sigh** some sort of veggie to be detained later.
made an orange cake yesterday. One of Joe's favs.

I spent the day in bed yesterday...got another cold! So, I did not cook dinner. DS and DH went out to hockey the legion after for beers and got some take-out fish & and chips. Still not feeling much better today, will laze around....dinner will be a frozen Costco chicken pot pie and I hope I have an appetite then as I love this pie!

MudderBear, I hope you feel better soon! Colds are awful!

It’s a gray and kind of wet day today. Not particularly cold, it’s about 50°. I did do a quickie grocery run today, mostly for dog food and some things I need for tonight’s dinner. Not much happening, I think I’ll watch a couple of the movies I’ve got recorded tonight.

I’m trying out 2 new to me recipes tonight, Beef Quesadillas and some Apple Cranberry Coleslaw. I’ve got the slaw made and it is really delicious! I’ll get them posted after dinner.

Charlene: that apple cranberry coleslaw sounds really good!

And thank you...feeling better later after I had an afternoon nap...fell asleep immediately which is a rare thing for me, and must have needed the extra rest

I went to bed earlier last night so just now posting on the dinner thread. We were out all day... firstly to the doll club meeting and then we called in to see Andrew and Hannah before their bedtime. We arrived as they were starting their dinner. Hannah has learned to say "hello" so the first ten minutes was spent with us saying hello back and forth. Hannah always likes me feeding her or at least loading her spoon up with food. To keep her interested, we often use different kitchen items rather than just a spoon. Her favourite 'spoon' is using corn chips. Whatever it takes to keep her focused on eating dinner. Last night wasn't much fun. She was tired (no afternoon sleep) and cranky. It amused her parents which was good for them, when I used a blunt fork but each mouthful, she took the food off the fork and replaced it with exactly the same food from her plate. No problem... whatever works.

We were home by the time we were ready for our dinner. John had roast pork, mashed potato and gravy... not cooking needed, just the microwave. I had ravioli with bolognaise sauce and mozzarella cheese.
