February 22nd Dinner Post

Good Morning!

It is sleet mixed with rain and just plain icky out. The horrid wind from yesterday finally died down after blowing so many items that were scattered in the yards and even the road. It will pick back up later tonight. The high will hit 45 with the low of 45 for a crazy weather day.

Potato and leek soup is calling our name along with grilled ham and cheese sandwiches and chocolate pudding cake for DGS.

What will you be having for your dinner?

Its so yucky out and to icy to leave. Hubs is working down south today so he wont be home until late. I put a turkey in the oven, seems like a good day for it.

I had lunch out today and my blood sugar shot way up so dinner will be sparse and much later.

I woke up to a snowy yard this morning but it started melting as soon as the sun came up. You can’t tell it was even there now. More freezing temperatures expected tonight. My son in Bodfish CA got snow last night too, it appeared to be more than I got. I watched an old movie on TCM this afternoon, The Student Prince. When I was growing up we had the original soundtrack and I loved the music from it. It was amazing how easily I was able to remember all the lyrics today. See, this is why I can’t do math! My head is full of ancient song lyrics!

I’m going to bake some Costco Ultimate Fish Sticks and put Yum Yum Sauce on them and I made a pasta salad to have with them.

I have a t-shirt that says “75% of my brain capacity is wasted on song lyrics”, and I frequently have some really ridiculous old songs running through my mind. I just wish it was an actual good song once in awhile!
