March 8th Dinner Post

Good Morning!

We are bathed in sunshine that is making everything look so bright and cheerful. My spring flowers are up by about 4 inches, and I bought some yesterday in pots with the tulip buds almost ready for opening. Red with yellow edging. One purple and one pink hyacinth with the buds still tight. They will make the house smell so lovely, and I will have a long life of flowers in bloom with all 3.

The high today will be 37 and the low of 27 with mild wind. Just a perfect day for the middle of March.

Dinner will hot roast beef sandwiches, carrots and a fruit salad.

It’s a pretty day today, looking kind of Springlike! I made a quick run to QFC (Kroger) because they had really nice corned beef briskets on sale so I picked up 2 of them along with a couple other items I needed. Not much else happening today.

I’m going to use my stovetop smoker to cook some steelhead fillets that I’ve got seasoned with Smokehouse Maple Seasoning, roast some asparagus and have some brown rice for dinner.

Dinner is leftover mac & cheese casserole with cubed leftover maple ham, and tossed salad

LTB we must be on the same wavelength. I bought 2 African violets same day you got your flowers. They sound beautiful.
I use to have quite a selection but haven't had any for years. I'm tickled to have them again. One is a very pretty shade of pink the other is white middle with purple edges. A gal at knit group has a gorgeous purple one so we are going to trade starts. YAY
