  • March 12th Dinner Post

    Good Morning!

It is overcast with the high of 39 and the low of 31. A slight chance of snow this morning, just a dusting probably.

DGS is a Birthday Boy today and has hit the ripe old age of 25!! He already opened all his presents and was happy with them. He wants pizza for his Birthday meal so pizza it will be.

What are you having this Sunday for yours?
Heritic, rebel, a thing to flount,
He drew a circle that shut me out.
But love and I had the wit to win,
We drew a circle that took him in.

We actually have a few inches of snow. Something we've not seen much of this winter. High 43 low 29.

It will either be tuna noodle or scalloped potatos with ham. Which ever I decide Joe will have peas I will have carrots.

Give him a Happy Birthday from me too!

Cool and cloudy today with a chance of rain. This time change nonsense has me all discombobulated today! According to the clock I slept in ridiculously late and really haven’t accomplished a thing except for changing out the mats that the fur beasts have their food bowls on. They’re really pretty sloppy! They’ll probably be mad at me because their old mats were perfectly “seasoned”!

I decided to be lazy tonight. I took a package of the green chile chicken enchiladas I made a couple of months ago out of the freezer to have for my dinner. No muss, no fuss!

smokey and Charlene, DGS said Thank You that was very nice of both of you.

Yes, smokey I am. It has been rough at times when he needed his dad. He was in the youth group at church, went of mission trips, tutored children from 4th grade on. First in the school meeting with them and helping them. The teachers always said he knew when he should give the answer before they got frustrated and when he should let them do it on their own. I think the proudest moment I had was when the minister would ask him if he would cover for him and give the sermon when he was not there. He would do both 1st and 2nd service and the congregation received him with open arms. I was always in the front row right in front of the pulpit and always asked if I could buy a recording of his sermon. They are in my car and when I am having a rough day that is what I play while driving.
