March 24th Dinner Post

Good Morning!

It is an overcast morning with a chance of rain and the high of 44 and the low of 39.

I came home yesterday and saw a robin sitting on my bottom step for my back porch. I sat in the car while it was on the step, and we looked each other over for about 5 minutes before it hopped away. Right behind it came a blue jay that landed on the same spot, so we sat and looked at each other for several minutes also. It was a nice homecoming for me.

The leftover Salisbury steak will be morphed into a Shepards pie along with Waldorf salad and chocolate pudding cake.

I have leftovers I need to eat but I am leaning towards an apple right now.

It’s been very cool with sprinkles on and off all day. I’m wearing warm clothes but I’m still a little cold. Not much happening today at all. I got a notice about a week ago about my high school class having its 60 year reunion in August, spent a few days trying to decide and said to heck with it, I’m going! I’m going to fly down and back, I’ve already got my tickets booked. I made them refundable, just in case something comes up that would stop me from going. I thought about driving down, no thanks! Driving in temperatures well over 110° does not appeal to me at all, been there, done that, never again in summer. Besides, it’s cheaper for me to fly than buy gas and hotels for the trip.

I’m going to make a cube steak, some mashed potatoes and some yellow squash for dinner.

Nice day here, kinda cool tho. We had our grandson here today, busy busy boy. We are pooped! All the kids came over later in day for a few beers. I still have a tiny appetite and don’t feel much
Ike cooking yet, plus my sense of taste is wonky….so hubs and I just had some chicken fingers and fries done in the air fryer.
