    Good Morning!

I am amazed that we have power this morning let along houses still standing. The wind, hail, rain yesterday was horrid with trees uprooted, power lines down all over, fires, a roof off a building up in some trees and just damaging and scary conditions. We had 72 MPH wind gusts yesterday.

It is a clear sky and cold but thank goodness the wind has died down and we have an occasional light breeze that is only11 MPH. It will be a high of 53 and the low of a chilly 35.

I am putting a mixture of cabbage rolls and stuffed peppers in the crock pot directly and will make some Basmati rice with fruit on the side.

What will be your dinner this evening?
Heritic, rebel, a thing to flount,
He drew a circle that shut me out.
But love and I had the wit to win,
We drew a circle that took him in.

The windstorm was horrible by the lake house whipping through those mountains. The power went out there around 2 pm yesterday and they said it could take a week to get it back on. On the plus side since we were there I was able to empty the fridge and freezer so it doesn't rot in there for a week. I am so glad to be home today. The frozen food made the trip home, only the burgers and hot dogs thawed out, so that will be dinner tonight.

Nice cool day, perfect for catching up on laundry. Not much else happening until later in the week.

Dinner tonight was lamb chops, baked potato, onion and peas.

Tonight I'm working on my new crocheted blanket and it's looking good. I'm a third the way through.

What stitch are you using Chayote? I'd love to see it.

Sunny high 58 low 31. Got the patio back in order. Goodness the grill cover was hanging by a thread. My plant stand was knocked into the yard. The rug looked like a body was rolled up in it and one of my cats is missing boo boo she was very pregnant. Hope she comes back. Taking the last of the roast & making beef and noodles. Have mashed potatos left from yesterday.

Just a plain stitch because the yarn is multicoloured and didn't need a pattern. It will have a fancy border. It matches our leather lounge suite so I'll use it there or in the guest bedroom. Haven't decided yet and when I do, I'll possibly change my mind many times over.

Looks like a single. That yarn is very very pretty.

Well, surprisingly we did not lose our hydro in the nite. Today is a bright gorgeous day…me and hubs walked down to the lake then drove to the lakeside park and walked around the pathways a few times. I put a small roast beef in the oven earlier and will put in some potatoes and will have peas as well.

We have sunny skies but I am still freezing in my house. I think I will likely make a light breakfast for my dinner tonight. It is late in the day and I don’t feel like doing much on the kitchen.

It’s cool and cloudy today, I’m looking at all the trees and they’re really starting to get a lot of buds on them. Not much happening around here today.

I’m trying out a recipe for stir fried chicken and zucchini in an Asian sauce and I’m going to make some yakisoba noodles to have with it. The only change I’m making is that I’ll be using yellow squash instead of zucchini because I don’t want to go to the grocery store. I’ll post the recipe if it turns out good.

I think it would be even more beautiful with an off white fringe border.Since you said you wanted a fancy border.
