  • April 6th Dinner Post

We lucked out yesterday and only got light rain, but steady rain that started around four yesterday with no wind or intense storms. It will be a partly sunny sky with a high of 53 and the low of 38

Dinner will be split pea soup along with garlic bread and a salad.

What will you be having tonight?

Stayed home again today and we both enjoyed not doing anything. Dinner was different for each of us: John had pork steak, baked potato and onion; I had some rice with snow peas, corn and chicken.

I've been working on some of my bears that need repair and/or restuffing and will continue that tomorrow...

So glad the rain is behind us now, it was brutal and a lot of people's basements had flooding...including our son. 4 inches and when contacting the insurance company, he sadly found out that his issue will not be covered re: sump pump.
Today it is chilly out, and we had to get a fire going again in the wood stove...we are almost out of fire wood.
Dinner is my fav breaded veal cutlets, mashed potatoes and green beans

It’s been cloudy and cool all day and there have been a few sprinkles throughout the afternoon. I got the other half of my deep cleaning at the dentist done today and came home and started on the laundry. Not much else going today.

I’m going to make a bag of chopped elote salad and have some more of the salsa verde pork with it.

It's been a very different kinda day. 50ish partly sunny.
my nephew lost his life in a house fire Tue night. He lived couple miles down the road from us. He was 60. I got out moms ton of pics. Then Joe got out his moms old old pics and we have sat here literally all day. We found some things we didn't know existed. Had some good laughs and some tears.
I just put leftovers in the af and made a fruit salad.
you can Google union city indiana man dies in house fire. It shows the house. He lived there alone so we know it's him. I guess they have to prove it legally.

Rosie - What a shock for you and Joe. I'm sure there will be an investigation as to the cause. I wonder if he had a smoke detector with a good battery and just got trapped. What a horrible way to die. Condolences to your family.
