    Good Morning!

At last, sun and no rain today. The high will be 46 and the low of 30.

Sub sandwiches, raw veggies and dip, and applesauce will be dinner.

What will be your Good Friday dinner?
Heritic, rebel, a thing to flount,
He drew a circle that shut me out.
But love and I had the wit to win,
We drew a circle that took him in.

John had the same dinner as last night... pork steak, baked potato, onion and peas. I had pumpkin and feta ravioli with bolognaise sauce.

We stayed home again today. The traffic on the roads was crazy and close to the end of Good Friday, the Easter road toll is already at five. There was no need for us to go out. Tomorrow, however, we will drive to Julia's house to entertain the children while the parents get some housework done. My son-in-law's parents are going there for lunch on Sunday and are quick to be critical of *everything* in the house, including the children...

Tomorrow night, Julia and I are going to the theatre to see the musical Come From Away. I saw it about two years ago and absolutely loved it. I'm more than happy to see it again and for Julia to see it for the first time. I often listen to the singing from the show on YouTube.

We had a gift of tickets for this show just before Covid hit. I really do want to see this, heard it is very good. I must check out the listings now for our city and see if it will be playing there again soon.

Been busy in the kitchen most of the day...I cooked our turkey/stuffing, got veggies cut up for tray, did the deviled egg filling. We had our DD over for a few hours. She was supposed to come last night but ended up going to emerg due to chest pain/tightness. In the end all is clear, she was kept on the monitor for 8 hours and then released. This is not the first time this has happened, and she had been wearing a 24 hour monitor just 2 weeks ago and is to see a cardiologist next Friday.
I was going to make cheese burgers and french fries for our dinner, but DS suggested naan bread pizzas, and went out and got all the ingredients for them.

This has just been a crazy week. The house we listed yesterday already has multiple offers so thats a good sign. I think we have one being listed on Monday and one on Tuesday so hopefully they go just as well. I actually have a free day today so I have the grand kids spending the night. We went to hot pot for lunch and got fancy donuts for a midnight snack. Pizza bagels will be dinner with tater tots.

It’s been a wet one today, but the sun is trying to shine this afternoon. I had my quarterly yard spraying this morning and then I went to the grocery to to stock up on veggies and other things I needed. I was completely out of fresh garlic…that never happens! I’ve been straightening out some bookcases this afternoon, found a few I’d forgotten I had in there.

Tonight is finish up some dibs and dabs of leftovers. Salsa verde pork, garlic and ghee rice and some asparagus and any other little bits I find. Then I can start on some new food this weekend…Yay!

MudderBear... this show is my all-time favourite and I've been to a lot of theatrical shows. We've just arrived home and even though it's midnight, I won't be ready to sleep for at least a couple of hours. It's a brilliant production and I hope you do get to see it.

For those on this board who don't know what this show is about, it's a show they call it a musical about 9-11 when the towers in NYC were hit by terrorist flying planes into the buildings. And airplanes could not land in airports or leave airports in our country. I don't quite see how one can make a " musical " out of that tragedy. Anyway several planes were diverted to Gander ,Newfoundland and the people living there very graciously took everybody in and took care of them until flights could take off again. I guess I am a little sensitive to 9-11 and being stuck away from home and not being able to get home for a week. Happened to us and it was not funny. NO , I have not seen the show, not sure I would want to.
