  • April 20th Dinner Post

    Good Morning!

It is cloudy at the moment with showers expected and partly sunny later. The high of 80 and the low of 60.

I will be going freezer shopping in a bit and see what dinner will be.

What is your plan for your dinner tonight?
Heritic, rebel, a thing to flount,
He drew a circle that shut me out.
But love and I had the wit to win,
We drew a circle that took him in.

I managed to get more yarn for my blanket at the first Spotlight that we tried so that left us with the whole afternoon to explore parts of Adelaide that we hadn't yet seen. It was fun. We also found a few op shops where I found two Build-a-bears and some sewing items. Also found a lead crystal bowl that is beautiful. I can't quite read the manufactures mark on the bottom of the bowl other than "England" and a number. I don't think it's very old but going by the weight and tone of the 'ring', it's good quality. I'll do some more investigating online when I have time.

Tomorrow we'll be spending time with Andrew and Hannah. Their Nanny doesn't work on Fridays so John and I have been filling in. Hannah has blossomed since her ear surgery and now that she can hear, her speech is coming along in leaps and bounds.

Dinner tonight was chicken wings cooked on the BBQ. They were good but I should have bought 2kg instead of only one.
Effort only fully releases its rewards after a person refuses to quit.

It’s been a pretty nice day today, dry and breezy. I thought I was going to be going to book club tonight but found out it’s been rescheduled to next Thursday night instead. I’ve just been doing a few things around the house and got all showered and shampooed and then found out it was postponed. Oh well! I’ve got 16 pages left in that Outlander book and I will finish it shortly. It’s going down to the used book store for a trade in next week!

I was all set for some Thai food at book club but I’ll going to cook up some Bul Gogi Mandu (Korean dumplings) here at home. I’ll have some brown rice with them.
