April 23rd Dinner Post

Good Morning!

It is cold out and the furnace agrees every time it kicks on. Very dark clouds are moving in as rain is predicted again today with the high of a chilly 50 and the low of 38.

I am solo tonight so vegetable soup sounds like a good choice.

What will be your Sunday Dinner?

crappy, crappy day!! I wish I could wake up again and change it all. John and I were involved in a three-car collision this morning on our way to sit with the children. Our car... Mitsubishi Outlander, was the middle one. The outcome for our car has not been established yet but Julia estimates $10,000-plus worth of damage, front and back. The driver that caused it has already lodged a claim on their insurance. Not the way we hoped our day would pan out. Personal injuries are minor, thank God.

We had dinner with the family... they bought pizzas which were very good. John had a steak sandwich.

it’s been kind of a blah weather day here, fired up the wood stove and it’s very cozy
finishing up a bunch of leftovers for dinner tonight.

Oh Chayote I’m so sorry to hear about the accident but I’m so glad you and John weren’t seriously hurt.

Cool and cloudy, rain expected again soon. It’s been a lazy day, I just can’t seem to kick it into gear today. I’m watching the program on National Geographic network, Secrets of the Elephants right now, it’s quite fascinating.

I’m going to make a green chile quiche and I cooked a couple of artichokes in the pressure cooker this afternoon and I’ll have some of that along with the quiche.

Not feeling very well today so I didnt cook for both of us.DH had a sandwich & chips & I had some cream of wheat & toast with apple butter.It hit the spot anyway.
