April 28th Dinner Post

Good Morning!

It is cold, dark and dreary with light rain that will become a steady rain all day. The high will be 60 and the low of 48.

I have corned beef that is begging that I should cook it today along with cabbage, carrots and potatoes for dinner. It will make the house smell like comfort food, make it feel cozy in the house and give DGS a dinner he will love.

It’s such a beautiful day today, the views of all the mountains are spectacular. I really enjoyed book club again last night, that’s a really fun group of ladies. I wasn’t sure I was going to make it in time, there was a nasty accident just as you cross onto the island and traffic was backed up for miles and that’s the only road onto Camano. Then it detoured and I got a really nice sightseeing tour but I swear, if it weren’t for the Waze app I’d probably still be lost. Camano Island is absolutely gorgeous! I had to do a quickie grocery run for potato salad fixings and went and picked up Abby’s insulin. I’m invited to a BBQ at my friend Jeremy’s house on Sunday and I volunteered to bring potato salad.

I’m going kind of simple tonight. I’m making a BLT on sourdough toast and I’m steaming another artichoke to have with it. Yum!

It was a warmish day today, and no rain thank God cuz our little Kian wanted to be outside all day. Dinner was leftover meatloaf etc…nothing fancy
