  • May 8th Dinner Post

    Good Morning

It is cloudy with the high of 70 and the low of 53 along with rain later this evening.

Meatloaf with pasta salad and applesauce will be dinner.

What will you be making tonight?
Heritic, rebel, a thing to flount,
He drew a circle that shut me out.
But love and I had the wit to win,
We drew a circle that took him in.

Despite our cold weather, we went out today to check on our van that is being modified. It should be ready by this time next week. On the way home I stopped at an op shop and found a few treasures for when we move. Found a nice Build-a-Bear for $3 so I rescued him. Tomorrow is John's poker day so as usual we'll have lunch at our club and dinner with our family. Julia has a new cookbook and she tries a new recipe each visit. I'm looking forward to whatever she makes. She's such a good cook and she didn't inherit that from me or her grandmother.

Tonight we had different dinners: John had crunchy chicken with mashed potato/sweet potato combined, a baked onion and peas; I had spaghetti bolognaise but instead of spaghetti, I had spiral cut zucchini. It was ok. Not as good as having real pasta but I'm tolerating the reduced calories better than I had envisioned. Diets suck!

We are supposed to be getting some nice normal seasonal temps this week, and sunshine! Time to wash and hang all the duvets.
Can't eat anymore chicken lol, so was thinking of making a shepards pie of some sort for dinner tonite, currently scouting thru recipes

I had the grand kiddos for a few days, they sure do wear me out. Even the puppy was exhausted so thats good. I planned on making chicken stir fry but hubs is working late tonight so I will probably make a sandwich.

I have been packing things up like a crazy person and hopefully we can get some of these boxes moved to the new house by the end of the week. We are just waiting on the painting to be finished and the new fence is going in today as well. The neighbors are being quite vocal about their dislike of having a fenced in yard as they think an underground dog fence would be better. Little do they know we will be prancing around quite naked in the hot tub lol. We even spent a fortune on the vinyl fencing so it looks really nice but people just like to nit pick I guess.

I miss our pool , we had a pool and hot tub at our previous house, we loved the pool. It was a lap pool, we used it almost every day, great exercise. Enjoy your hot tub Muzette

The thing with a underground dog fence may keep the dog inside but it doesnt protect the dog from whatever may come onto your property.Yep i'm with you on the fence.

Lol.One flash in their direction maybe that will teach them the goodness of privacy fences,But then again, maybe not!LOL maybe thats why they dont want a fence, they may like to get up into your business.

Beautiful and busy day today! I picked up Kim in Seattle, stopped at Trader Joe’s and got home. We’re going out for Thai food tonight.

We decided on Mexican food at Ixtapa instead, and it was so freakin’ good!
