May 12th Dinner Post

Good Morning!

It is a beautiful morning and a beautiful soft breeze blowing. It actually smells so good out. The high will be 78 and the low of 58 along with a chance of rain later this evening.

I am making a chicken, rice and broccoli casserole for dinner along with the last of the baked custard.

Had dinner at Julia's house tonight, to celebrate Andrew's birthday. His kids' party is on tomorrow afternoon with 12 children between 2 and 7 years old. Kinda relieved that we are not going...

Dinner was fish fried in batter, chips and salad.

Well, we survived our over-nighter….barely! Kian would not go to sleep…I honestly don’t know how he kept going, we were sooo tired! After 3 tries and horrid screaming, I ended up taking him into Momma Dadda bed and we watched his shows, he fell asleep at 1:00 am! I dozed with one arm on him so I’d feel him move. He woke up a few times with a horrid barky cough, whining…ugh I felt so bad for him. He slept til 8 am.

It’s beautiful today, temperatures in the 70’s and it’s supposed to hit high 80’s over the weekend. Thank goodness for AC! Kim and I went to Camano Island this afternoon because I bought another painting by an artist over there. He gave us a tour of his beautiful garden areas and that yard is absolutely spectacular. After that we stopped at the Stanwood Food Bank Thrift Store and Kim got some things and I got 2 books. Now it’s time to put my feet up and relax.

We’re having the rest of the Chicken Gloria Casserole, some brown rice and the rest of the spinach for dinner and some Trader Joe’s vanilla bean cake with Chantilly cream frosting.
