    Good [email protected]

It is dark and raining and we needed the rain as everything was getting dry. The gardens will be happy with rain and after so many beautiful days one can't complain as it is needed. Besides, I am waiting for some garden ripe tomatoes, and they will get big and juicy with a good rain watering. So good. The high will be 65 and the low of 49.

I am thinking French toast, bacon, applesauce I made yesterday and strawberry smoothies.

Whare is calling your name for dinner?
Heritic, rebel, a thing to flount,
He drew a circle that shut me out.
But love and I had the wit to win,
We drew a circle that took him in.

John and I, helped by Julia and watched by Andrew and Hannah, set up my display for the Doll Exhibition tomorrow. My Nativity looked amazing, if I say so myself. Everyone from the doll club who looked at it today said it looked great. There are a few quirky things in it... baby Jesus is wearing a nappy with very modern safety pins, the largest camel is wearing desert boots, there's a green sheep amongst the shepherds' flock, one of the smaller sheep is nibbling the straw in Jesus' manger... but it's all fun and not offensive. Most of the bears and fabrics that I used came from a few op shops around town. The most expensive items was the artificial palm tree ($33 marked down from $75) and a bag each of Frankincense and Myrrh for the Kings. The gold is represented by ferrero rocher chocolates and gold foil covered chocolate coins. My 10 Disney Build-a-Bears (Mickey and Minnie) and two of my Pedigree dolls are displayed in another room.

We were tired, hungry and cold by the time we arrived back in Gawler and John suggested we have dinner at our favourite pub. I had battered flathead with mashed potato and salad; John had a pork schnitzel with mashed potato and vegetables.

We need to be back at the function centre by 9am tomorrow which means we will leave home at 8am. I struggle getting up early...

It's sunny after an all night rain. My garden is happy happy today. I think the tomatos grew an inch overnight. Just finished a double batch of noodles. All layed out to dry. I ended up giving away all of the last ones I made.
will be in the mid 70s today and looks like for the whole week.
making a sheet pan meal of potatos, carrots and Italian brats. It has a gravy made on the pan too. Hope it turns out good.

Chayote - Your description sounds divine. Like Rosie - I hope to see pictures since we can only imagine what your displays look like right now. Are there prizes or ribbons given out? If so, yours sound like they should have blue ribbons (top prize).

              Yes! pictures please!

Cool, dull day...we went back to town to get what we didn't get the other day. Most of the fam is busy doing holiday wknd things, and we are just poking around here which is fine by us. Tomorrow is supposed to be nice and sunny so I imagine we will have everyone over and hang out at the lake. Kian and I went down to play yesterday and the geese have been visiting...so nasty! poop everywhere! I tried to clean up quick and in a small area where he could play in the sand with his trucks. Always a pain in the butt to try to keep the geese away.
I picked up a small pre-cooked chicken for dinner, sides of mashed potato, and cauliflower.

It’s so pretty out today, perfect temperatures and puffy white clouds. I’ve been doing a few things around the house, kind of looking at things that I should probably declutter one of these days. I’ve got various figurines and other things I’ve gotten over the years that I’m tired of looking at and dusting, so it must be time to see about getting rid of them.

I picked up some marinated flanken ribs yesterday and I’m going to cook them on a grill pan and I’m having a baked sweet potato and some asparagus with them.
