Good Morning!

It is overcast again from the smoke from the Canada fires. They must be so heavy and thick if the smoke is reaching into the US and closing a New York airport. It will be a cool day with the high of 68 and the low of 52.

Garlic shrimp, salad and garlic bread will be dinner tonight.

What is calling you name for dinner this evening?

The odour from the fires here is just awful! It does not seem as smokey here right now, but that can change quickly...'supposed' to get some rain later today and whatever amount it is, sure hope it helps. We have new fires now in the big park - Algonquin, which is only 290 miles north east of us.

Dinner will be what I planned for yesterday as we got home late from town and needed to cook something quick for hubs.

I hope you get much needed rain. and the fires get under control. Droughts are popping in so many places and that makes for danger for fires, farmers, drinking water and just the need for water for living. I sure hope all areas that need it get some soon.

78° now sunny. Not humid & very little breeze.
seems like I've been running nonstop for ever we too have have air quality alerts from the smoke. I haven't noticed it tho.
prepped everything last night so when I got home from taking sis to Greenville I could pop chicken and biscuits in the oven. New recipe. Looks like chicken pot pie with biscuits instead of pie crust. Oh well it's something to fill the tummy.

Yes. It grieves me to think of all the beautiful land burning. I know it will recover but still...

that was nice. I did do my Costco run this afternoon, didn’t need much but almost everything I got was a few dollars off, so that was good. I was going to fill up with gas at the Safeway station in Mount Vernon but it was closed for construction. Rats! Oh well, I’ll go to Smokey Point tomorrow to fill up. It’s worth the trip to get $1 off per gallon.

I’m going no brain easy tonight! A box of Velveeta shells and cheese with some sautéed chopped onion and some Aidell’s bacon and pineapple sausage mixed in and some fruit.
