June 23rd Dinner Post

Good Morning!

It is cloudy with on and off showers with the high of a cool 72 and the low of 60 for today

My friend has a green house and gifted me with some tomatoes so BLTs it is for dinner tonight. DGS asked for more kiwis so that is easy enough doing.

What is your Friday night dinner?

It is overcast 68° high in low 70s.
pulled a chuck roast last eve. Think I'll put it in the elec pressure cooker. Idk if we'll have it as pot roast or beef and noodles.

I got a big stack of corn tortillas for some recipe but cant remember what. I am frying them up for nachos tonight for dinner.

rosie, don’t you just love the electric pressure cooker? I’ve got 2 different sizes and wouldn’t part with them, no guesswork!

It’s been a beautiful day today, temperatures were in the mid 70’s. I did a grocery run this afternoon, QFC (Kroger) had really nice big chicken drumsticks for 99¢ a pound and tri-tip roasts on a BOGO deal so I stocked up. They also had a one day only deal for insulated beverage containers regularly priced up to $24.99 for $6 each. I got 2 that are 34 oz each. This will be handy for some of the Meet Up group gatherings since I don’t drink alcohol. I came home and vacuum sealed and froze my purchases immediately. While I was out I shipped a package to my son that has my Dad’s antique surveyor’s transit. I’ve had it on display for a long time and decided it needed to be passed down to someone who’ll take good care of it.

I’m kind of tired this afternoon so I’m doing no brain easy for dinner. I’ve got a package of PF Chang’s honey chicken to fix and I’m going to make some yakisoba noodles and a half bag of salad. Doesn’t get much easier!

YES Charlene. Love it. I think mine is a 6 qt. It's nonstick so no biggie to clean it.

I’ve got a 4 qt and an 8 qt, both Cook’s Essentials nonstick. One of my best investments ever.
