    Good Morning!

After the horrid humidity yesterday and heat the rain this morning makes it feel less humid and with a lower temperature it will be more bearable today. The high will be 82 and the low of 67 with a 70% chance of rain. I used the weed eater yesterday early and DGS mowed. It was a hot sticky job but am glad it is done, and the yard looks nice this morning.

Today will be a meal of leftovers that DGS just loves. There is a nice variety of food so we both can pick what looks good for each of us.
Heritic, rebel, a thing to flount,
He drew a circle that shut me out.
But love and I had the wit to win,
We drew a circle that took him in.

It’s another pretty day today. I stayed up way too late reading last night so I really slept in this morning. I’m reading a book called Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt and it is really a wonderful book, one I’m going to hang on to rather than trade it in. My son Steve called me this morning to let me know that his father, my ex-husband, passed away last night. I had remained friendly with him but we weren’t really close, we split up in 1973 and Ken raised all 3 of my kids. I feel sad for all his other kids.

I’m trying out a recipe from America’s Test Kitchen Dinner Illustrated cookbook for Skillet Pork Lo Mein for Two tonight. It really won’t need anything along with it. The meat is marinating right now and the aroma is making my tummy growl really loud!

Hi Charlene how did the Lo Mein turn out? I googled the recipe but can't see it. I read some others but know the test kitchen stuff is usually really good.

It came out really good rosie! I’ll get it posted in a bit. I had to order the Shaoxing cooking wine from Amazon, I figured it was easier than me hunting all over the county for with gas prices at $4.99 a gallon!
