  • July 9th Dinner Post

    Good Morning!

It is overcast with hopes of becoming a mostly sunny day. The high will be 78 and the low of 63.

Dinner will be hamburgers, potato salad, cherry tomatoes and green pepper strips from the garden and angel food cake I baked this morning with strawberries over it.

What will be your dinner this evening?
Heritic, rebel, a thing to flount,
He drew a circle that shut me out.
But love and I had the wit to win,
We drew a circle that took him in.

Beautiful day high 76 low humidity. I opened the joint up this morning. So nice to have fresh air blowing thru.
We're having breakfast. Ham, eggs, fried potatos and toast.

It’s a pretty day today, temperatures more like Spring than Summer, but that’s not a complaint. The young family across the street bought a 20+ foot travel trailer and took it out for the weekend and I have to say, watching them trying to maneuver that beast in and out of their driveway was quite entertaining. I’m terrible at doing anything in reverse so I have to admire their perseverance in getting it backed in. I couldn’t have done it if I had a week!

I’m going to mix up a bag of chopped salad and put some rotisserie chicken that I took out of the freezer in it and add some avocado as well.

        Good evening!

Its been cool here in the lower 70s.I can pretty much handle that temperature.A nice, cool breeze with windows opened, blowing all thru out the house.

For our dinner tonight we had fried-cornmeal-coated crappy fish, hush puppies & with the last of this batch of small new potatoes(I made these .that I got from a copycat recipe from here called "Boston Market"garlic fried potatoes.SO GOOD!!)Anyway i'm pretty sure thats what they were called.)We had homemade cole slaw;sliced 'maters & some banana pudding(I love it when the wafers start to soften but w/just a little amount of crunchiness!!)

Well everyone dinner sounds great. I made breakfast for dinner as I really didn’t have much of an appetite. I’ve got some cold peach tea now while I pick up a little news.
