August 9th Dinner Post

The sky is hazy, but the sun is shining and hopefully the smoke haze will thin out as the day progresses. The high of 84 and the low of 68 will be our temperatures for today.

Dinner tonight will be BBQ chicken sandwiches, slaw, sliced tomatoes, green peppers, radishes and watermelon.

My MIL was in the hospital last week with pneumonia. I took her some chicken soup and one of the boys ate half of it for her. He called me last night and asked if I could make more, so a big pot of chicken noodle soup for whoever wants it and hot dogs for those who dont.

It was lightly raining this morning but it stopped quickly and this afternoon has been warm and sticky. So far ceiling fans and open doors have helped. It’s really quite refreshing listening to the neighbor kids playing up and down the street, we didn’t hear that much in CA. Gotta love small town living.

I’m going to heat up the rest of the Drunken Noodles with Chicken tonight. I won’t need anything else, it’s got plenty of veggies in it.

Hello! Been awhile since I've been on here. Too many things happening in our lives, and I've just kinda been hiding. My dear sweet SIL has breast cancer and we've been wrapped up in all that...been some marital issues going on in family as well and business things going on. Gets to be a bit overwhelming.
Soooo, today was a very nice day. I went down to dock to re-group and read a book for the aft, brought a bunch of junk food to eat lol. Dinner was easy, BBQ'd sausage and some corn on the cob that DS had picked up from a market stand.
