    Good Morning!

When it was predicted rain for yesterday, they meant rain. It was a downpour, thunder, lightning and high winds from 1 yesterday afternoon till 11 when I decided I was more than ready for bed. It is overcast at the moment with more rain expected with the high of 90 and the heat index of 100+ and very humid. Ick!!

I am wiped out and am not planning on doing much today. I picked 8 beautiful, big peppers when I was out harvesting food from the gardens on Tuesday so I cut them in half and made stuffed peppers for the freezer, froze 9 pints of green beans, cooked down tomatoes into sauce and canned nine pints, have carrots curing for long term storage, cleaned radishes and have in a bowl in the fridge, will roast some with a meal in the near future, and made 18 English muffin egg, sausage and cheese breakfast sandwiches and froze them along with 8 breakfast burrito that have home fries that have onion and red and green peppers fried up with the potatoes, egg, sausage and cheese,. Yes, a lazy day today as I am tired, but my future self will love me and so will DGS as he has premade sandwiches all ready for his breakfast for days into the future.

Dinner will be leftovers along with ice cream topped strawberries.

What will be your dinner tonight?
Heritic, rebel, a thing to flount,
He drew a circle that shut me out.
But love and I had the wit to win,
We drew a circle that took him in.

Wish could pay you to feed DH. I don't cook anymore because I can't get up and down the stairs.

Holy moley the rain. I have a 5 gallon bucket I use to clean poo out of the yard and it was overflowing with rainwater from last night. I dumped it out and am guessing it will be full by morning.

I went to one of those fatty clinics today to get on the ozempic. My insurance does not cover crud and hubs and MIL are both on it and have lost a ton so we will see how this works out. It felt like going to one of those pill mills that were popular in the 90's but I have put worse things in my body lol. The produce market was across the street so I loaded up on good stuff. A dozen ears of corn was 2 bucks so I am going to shuck it and vacum seal the whole cobs. Nothing really sounds good for dinner so I am undecided.

I thought Ozempic was for people who have diabetes?

It’s also being prescribed under a different name and dosage for weight loss. Very expensive and I don’t think insurance pays for it. I looked at the possible side effects and decided I’ll stay round.

i would do a couple days a month for him and you Angie so he could just bake or reheat, and you would have entree and some one dish meals. I always cook extra for freezing when I cook a meal and do like I did yesterday and do a dedicated day for just knocking out whatever sounds like something I should do or that DGS asks for. He got home last night just as I ready for a lot of wrapping all the breakfast food, so we teamed up and did an assembly line and were done in a short while and he took and put in the freezer while I dished up dinner. A productive day.

Very pleasant day today, temperatures in the mid 70’s. I’ve been getting all of Abby’s bedding washed and ready to donate and my dryer was not happy about all the hair that was embedded in everything. Today I pulled the dryer as far out as I could, difficult because my laundry room is tiny and vacuumed out the filter and as much of the vent as I could. Then I stuck the vacuum hose all the way through the accordion tubing and thoroughly cleaned it out. That lint came out in a bunch of hard chunks! I sure hope this takes care of the problem, if it doesn’t I’ll have to hire somebody to do it, but it’s got to be better than it was. I was tired after that!

I’m going to make a recipe for skillet chicken Parmesan and I’ll have some zucchini noodles with it.
