August 28th Dinner Post

Good Morning!

It is a sunny morning and will have lovely temperatures of a high of 74 and the low of 57.

I was gifted a nice head of fresh cabbage from my friend that she picked yesterday from her garden so am making cabbage rolls for freezing and will keep out some for dinner tonight. Basmati rice, sliced tomatoes, peppers, and green beans will be dinner.

What will you be having on this Monday?

Bratwurst with peppers and onions with corn on the cob. I also got a giant cabbage today so cabbage rolls are on the menu later this week. I like to cook mine with layers of sauerkraut which I forgot to get while I was out.

Now I want cabbage rolls. I will put them on my list of meals to fix soon. Tonight is taco night at my house.

It’s been cool and cloudy today with some very light sprinkles here and there. I’ve just been relaxing today. I had a really great time at the show last night, the music was excellent and enjoyable. The casino doesn’t make much money off of me though, but that’s OK! I don’t gamble and I don’t drink and fortunately they don’t push you to order anything at the shows. I did have a fantastic chicken fried steak dinner at one of the restaurants inside, the best cfs I’ve had in many years. I’ll definitely go back there for dinner.

I’m going to heat up more of the artichoke pie I made a couple of days ago and I took a couple of rotisserie chicken drumsticks out of the freezer to have with it.
