September 13th Dinner Post

Good Morning!

A deep blue sky with thick white puffy clouds with the sun streaming down is a Norman Rockwell painting. There is a chance of rain later with the high of 65 and the low of 54.

I got on a roll yesterday while I was making the meatloaf and used some of the hamburger that I added into peppers and onions from the garden and then moved forward and had a pot of chili simmering on the stove along with the meatloaf baking in the oven. Dinner is ready with just reheating the chili and making some cornbread waffles.

What will be your evening meal?

I have meatloaf for this evening and will hopefully get mashed potatoes ready too.

Beautiful day today, a bit warmer than it’s been but still quite comfortable. I’ve been doing more rearranging and looking at things that “don’t give me joy” anymore and contemplating some more purging. I’m going to talk to my son Steve and grandson Joshua and see if they have any interest in some of it. If they don’t, they’re gonna be history!

I didn’t have the dinner I planned for last night after all. I was so exhausted that I grabbed a 2 pack of Trader Joe’s green chile and cheese tamales from the freezer and that was it. Soooo, tonight, chicken leg quarter with BBQ sauce and roasted zucchini, yellow squash and grape tomatoes.
