BRIE DELIGHT
1 Brie Wheel (3 to 4 pounds)
½ cup Butter
1 cup Brown Sugar
½ cup Walnuts (chopped)
½ cup Raisins
1 pkg. Frozen Puff Pastry
2 Apples (pared, cored and sliced)
2 Eggs (beaten)
2 TBSP Heavy Cream
Melt butter; add sugar, nuts and raisins. Stir. Roll out pastry until large enough to completely enclose cheese. Drape pastry over pie plate and place Brie in center. Put sugar mix on top of cheese. Top with apple slices. Enclose in pastry by bringing pastry up and over Brie. Seal well by pinching pastry shut. Decorate with leftover cut pastry shapes. Mix eggs & cream and paint over pastry. Bake at 350° F for 45 minutes until pasty is puffed and golden.
Serve with your favorite crackers or chunks of bread.
