Jalapeño Lemonade

1/2 cup sugar 6-1/2 cups water 3/4 cup fresh lemon juice
2 jalapeños, stemmed and sliced with seeds

1 Combine sugar and 1/2 cup water in small saucepan. Simmer until sugar dissolves and liquid is clear, about 3 minutes.
2 Combine in pitcher with remaining water, lemon juice, and sliced jalapeños. Stir and refrigerate 1 to 3 hours. Strain or serve with jalapenos, depending on pain threshold.
