Kellogg's had one posted on the side of the box. It's good.

    Bran Muffins:
    makes 12 muffins

1 1/4 cup all purpose flour
    1 Tbs baking powder
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/2 cup sugar
    1 1/2 cup Kellogg's All Bran cereal
    1 1/4 cup milk
    1 egg
    1/4 cup vegetable oil

Stir together flour, baking powder, salt & sugar, set aside.

Measure Bran cereal & milk into a large bowl. Stir to combine. Let stand 5 minutes. Add egg & oil, beat well.

Add flour mixture, stirring only til combined. Pour evenly into 12 greased muffin pan cups. I'm sure you could use raisin bran if you wanted.

Bake in 400 degree oven for 18-20 minutes.

Here is my mom's Bran Muffin Mix

6 Weeks Bran Muffin Mix (this makes a large amount but stores in fridge for up to 6 weeks)

    2 C. boiling water
    5 tsp. baking soda
    1 C. shortening
    4 eggs
    2 C. sugar
    1 Qt. buttermilk
    5 C. flour
    1 Tbsp. salt
    4 C. All Bran cereal
    2 C. 40% Bran Flakes cereal
2 C. raisins or dates or mixture of both
    1 C. walnuts

Add soda to water and set aside to cool. Cream shortening then add sugar. Once creamed add eggs one at a time until completely mixed. Stir in buttermilk. Add flour and salt alternately with soda mixture. Add cereals, raisins and/or dates, and nuts. Stir well. Store covered in the fridge. Fill muffin cups 2/3 full and bake at 375 degrees for 20 min.

These are the best muffins around and no one will know they are good for them.
