Old Style Wheat Biscuits
1 c. unbleached wheat flour
1 c. wheat flour whole grain
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 c. canola oil
2 tbsp. cider vinegar
1 c. milk
Preheat oven to 475. Sift together flours, baking powder, salt and baking soda. Cut in oil until mixture looks like coarse cornmeal. Put vinegar and milk togetherin a cup and stir. Stir enough into flour mixture until soft dough is formed. Sprinkle flour on countertop and knead dough, roll dough to 1 inch thick. Cut with a biscuit cutter or glass. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 12 minutes . Makes 16 2" biscuits.
