Chocolate Pudding Cake

3/4 cup sugar
2 T. butter
1/2 cup milk
1 cup flour
2 tsp. baking powder
2 T. cocoa
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1/4 tsp. salt

1/2 c. sugar
1/3 cup cocoa
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 cups boiling water

Cream sugar and butter, stir in milk. Sift together flour, salt, baking powder and cocoa. Add to creamed mixture. Mix until smooth. Add nuts. Spread in buttered 9 inch pan. Mix together sugar, cocoa and brown sugar. Sprinkle over batter. Pour boiling water over the top. Bake at 430 for 35 to 40 minues. Cake rises to the top and a rich pudding is underneath.
