    Old Fashioned Soft Pumpkin Cookies

    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. butter, softened
    1 c. pumpkin
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla

    1 glaze Recipe

    2 c. powdered sugar
    3 Tbs. milk
    1 Tbs. melted butter
    1 tsp. vanilla

    Pre heat oven to 350 deg. Grease cookie sheets.
    Comine flour,soda,powder,cinnamon,nutmeg and salt in medium bowl. Beat sugar and butter in large bowl until well blended. Beat in pumpkin, egg and vanilla until smooth. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto prepared sheets. Bake 15-18 minutes or until edges are firm. Cool for 2 minutes and remove to wire racks to cool completely. Drizzle with glaze.



    Tried this and my family couldn't get enough!! I found this recipe on meals.com.....

    Here is one with the chocolate chips from the same site..

    Pumpkin spiced and Iced Cookies

    2 1/4 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. butter, softened
    1 c. sugar
    1 can 15 oz. pumpkin
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. chocolate chips
    1 c. chopped walnuts

    Vanilla Glaze

    1 c. powdered sugar
    1-1 1/2 Tbs. milk
    1/2 tsp. vanilla


    Preheat oven to 375 deg. Grease cookie sheets
    Combine flour, pumpkin pie spice,powder, soda, and salt in medium bowl. Beat butter and sugar in large mixer bowl until creamy. Beat in pumpkin, eggs and vanilla. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in morsels and nuts. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto sheets. Bake for 15-20 minutes. When cool drizzle with glaze.

    I haven't tried this...Sounds good though.

      I have to say these are the best! I made them last year and they freeze so well and stay so moist! I am making 6 batches today to freeze for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years thanks so much for sharing! One awesome recipe.
