    Sweet Corn Bread

    1-1/4 cups flour
    3/4 cups corn meal
    1/4 cup sugar
    2 tsp baking powder
    1/2 tsp salt
    1 cup milk or sour cream
    1/4 cup oil
    1 egg, beaten

    Preheat oven 400 degrees. Grease 8" or 9" baking pan. Combine dry ingredients; stir in milk or sour cream, oil and egg. If using sour cream, you may have to add milk to thin out a bit. Mix until just blended. Do not over mix or it will be tough and dry. Pour into a prepared pan. Bake for about 20 minutes.

      If I might add this to help out the yummy cornbread recipe!

      HONEY BUTTER
      3/4 cup butter, room temperature
      1/4 cup honey

      DIRECTIONS:
      In a small bowl mix butter and honey until smooth. OR with a electric mixer
      Store, covered, in the refrigerator.
      -good for 4 days-


      CINNABUTTER
      1 cup butter, softened
      2 tablespoons confectioners' sugar
      3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
      1 dash ground nutmeg

      DIRECTIONS:
      In a medium bowl, beat together butter, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg until light and creamy.
      ~4 days~
