Easy French Bread
Ingredients:
2 cups lukewarm water
1 pkg. fresh yeast
1 T. sugar
2 t. salt
5 & 3/4 cup flour
Disolve yeast in the water. Sift together sugar, salt & flour, and slowly add to yeats mixture. Work in well. Dough will be sticky. Place dough in a well greased bowl and let rise 1 hour in a warms place. Punch down the dough and shape into 2 long loaves. Place on a cookie sheet (you can sprinkle sheet with corn meal if you like) Let rise 1 hour. Bake at 425 for 30-35 minutes. Brush with melted butter if you like.
