Melt together:

3/4 Cup of white karo syrup
1/3 Cup light brown sugar
1/4 Cup butter
1/8 tsp. salt

Pour into cake pan & spread to cover bottom of pan.

3/4 Cup of finely ground nuts
1 Cup of chocolate chips..milk or semi..your choice.
and 1/2 Cup of flaked coconut (optional)

Mix together one chocolate cake mix per directions on the box.
Pour batter on top of topping

Bake 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes.

Turn out of pan immediately.
Serve with fresh whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
