I tried this non traditional banana bread the other day to use as a snack in our breakroom, I put out a jar of crunchy peanut butter, sliced the loaf thin with my electric slicer, and had the staff toast the piece lightly. It was excellent and an easy snack.
Banana Bread
1 1/2 cups bread flour
1 1/2 cups wheat flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 medium ripe bananas
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup warm water
1 egg
1/4 cup oil
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon poppy seeds
1 package of yeast
Put all ingredients into bread maker as suggested by manufacturer. I used the fruit bread setting , but if you use delayed timer setting make sure the yeast does not touch the wet ingredients.
