Bacon Onion Rolls
These rolls are great with a salad dinner, served as hors d'oeuvres or served with brunch. Make your own dough if you prefer. This is quick and easy for me.
2 loaves frozen bread dough, thawed
1/4 cup butter, melted
1 pound bacon, cooked and crumbled
1cup caramelized onion (see recipe)
Roll out dough on lightly floured surface to ¼ inch thick, cut rounds with 3 inch biscuit cutter. Combine bacon and caramelized onion. Place 1 teaspoon of onion mixture on dough, fold dough over and seal. Place pinched edge up like a little purse. Place in greased 13 inch baking dish, forming 3 rows. Brush tops with melted butter. Allow to rise until double. Bake at 350 degrees until golden brown.
