I have posted this before but it is an excellent fall dessert and this is one recipe that everyone always asks for.

Cranberry squares - easy and soooo good

1 1/2 cups ea flour and rolled oats, 3/4 cup brown sugar, 1 tsp grated lemon rind, 1/4 tsp baking soda, 3/4 cup butter melted, 1 whole can cranberry sauce, 1/4 cup chopped walnuts. Mix flour, oats, sugar, baking soda and lemon together, add butter and mix well, reserve 1 cup for topping. Press remainder into ungreased 13 x 9 pan and bake at 350 for 15-20 mins til golden then spread with cranberry sauce, add reserved topping and bake a further 25-30 mins. Cool in pan on wire rack then cut into squares.
