Rum Cake
1 package yellow cake mix
4 eggs
½ cup oil
½ cup water
½ cup rum
1. Mix all ingredients together for about 2 minutes with an electric beater.
2. Pour into a greased bundt pan.
3. Bake at 325° F for 60 minutes.
4. Remove from oven, pierce top with toothpick.
5. Pour glaze over top of cake right away.
6. After 10-15 minutes, loosen cake, remove onto a plate. Then invert upright onto a second plate.
Glaze
¼ cup butter
1 cup sugar
¼ cup water
1 oz. rum
1. Boil butter, sugar and water for 1 minute.
2. Remove from heat and add the rum.
3. Add glaze to the cake right away.
Hands down, one of the best cakes I've ever had! But beware...you WILL smell like rum after you eat it! LOL - I brought it to a familiy function once and EVERYONE smelled like Rum after the cake was devoured!
