These have no names. The recipes were just given to me with "cookies" on the page. I did large, decorated cup-cakes for my daughters meeting on Friday, and some assorted cookies. These were included. You can call them whatever you want.Smile

    PREHEAT OVEN TO 350

    1 cup butter
    1&1/2 cup sugar
    1 t. BS dissolved in 1&1/2 T. HOT water
    3&1/4 cup flour
    1/2 t. salt
    1 t. cinnamon
1/2 cup chopped raisins, dried cherries or other fruit.
1 cup toasted pecans or walnuts, chopped.
    1/2 cup currants.

Cream the butter and add the sugar gradually
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Add the dissolved soda, the add half of the flour which has been sifted with the cinnamon and salt.
Then add the nuts, fruit and the remaining flour mixture.
Place dough in frig for about an hour or longer.

Drop by spoonfuls one inch apart on greased cookie sheet.

Bake about 15 minutes or until done.
