    Buckwheat

My neighbor gave me this recipe and I baked some for the meetings yesterday morning. It is surprisingly delicious, and just a plain, basic banana bread.

    3 large ripe bananas
    1/2 cup butter
    1 cup sugar
    2 eggs
    2 cups flour
    1 t. BS
1/4 cup nuts (she added dates too, but I don't like dates)

Mash the bananas and then WHIP them until very light.
Cream the butter and the sugar.
Add the eggs, flour soda and nuts.
Add the bananas last, and mix until well incorporated.
Bake (slowly)in a well greased loaf pan for
about an hour to an hour and a half depending on your oven. Do a test to make sure it is done.

Don't forget to preheat the oven to 325
Working...
