Sourdough Biscuits
5 cups off all purpose White Lily flour
5 t. BP
1/3 cup of sugar
2/3 cup of oil
1 t. BS
1 t. salt
2 & 1/2 cups buttermilk, room temp
1 package fresh yeast dissolved in 1/2 cup hot water
Mix the dry ingredientss with a fork, then add the buttermilk, oil and the yeast mixture.
Knead the dough on a lightly floured board, roll out and cut out with biscuit cutter.
Place on lightly greased baking pan, and allow to rise at room temp.
BAKE in preheated 425 degree oven.
Part of the batter may be kept in the frig.
This will make baout 4 batches biscuits!
Butter, good jam is all you need with these!
