I got this recipe out of the newspaper. It didn't quite have enough of a peanut butter taste to me so next time I'm going to try doubling the peanut butter layer.
Peanut Butter Meltaway Cake
1 cup margarine
1/4 cup cocoa
1 cup water
2 beaten eggs
1/2 cup buttermilk
Mix together and cook till boiling. To this mixture add the following:
2 cups sugar
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla
Mix well and pour into greased and floured 13x9 pan. Bake 20-25 min at 350.
Mix together :
3/4 cup peanut butter
3/4 tablespoon oil
and spread over baked cake while still hot.
Place in refrigerator for 1/2 hour. Spread frosting evenly over top of cake.
Frosting:
1/2 cup margarine
1/4 cup cocoa
Mix together and cook till boiling Then add
1 lb powdered sugar
6 tablespoon milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
