    German Chocolate Cake Icing

    When will the cake be ready?

    Ingredients
    1 large can evaporated milk
    1 cup sugar
    3 egg yolks
    1/4 pound margarine or butter
    1 tsp vanilla
    1 1/3 cup coconut
    1 cup chopped pecans (toasted)


    Directions
    In medium saucepan, combine milk, sugar, egg yolks, and margarine. Add vanilla. Cook over low heat stirring constantly until thickened; approximately 12 minutes. Remove off heat and add the coconut and chopped pecans. Beat until thick enough to spread.
