    1 pkg. oreo cookies (16 oz) crushed
    1/2 cup butter or margarine melted
    1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream
    Chocolate Sauce (recipe follows)
    2/3 cup pecan pieces (optional)

    In medium bowl, stir together crushed cookies and butter. Press mixture onto bottom of 13 X 9 pan. Cut ice cream into 1 inch thick slices; place over crust. Cover and let freeze 1 to 2 hours or until firm. Uncover pan; pour chocolate sauce over ice cream. Sprincle pecan pieces over top. Cover and freeze until firm
    Chocolate Sauce
    2 cups powdered sugar
    1 1/2 cups evaporated milk
    1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
    1/2 cup butter or margarine
    In medium saucepan, combine powdered sugar, evaporated milk, chocolate chips and butter. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture boils; boil and stir 8 minutes. Remove from heat and cool slightly.
