This recipe was given to me by a dear neighbor about 10 years ago.. she was at that point making this since her wedding and she was married some 50 years.
You need to make this early in the day to make sure it sets.
Lemon Bisque
Chill thoughly:
1 large can evaporated milk (leave in refrigerator over night)
Mix together:
1 - 3 oz. lemon jello
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup boiling water
1/2 cup lemon juice
Chill unti JUST SET
Beat milk until thick
Gradually add jello mixture and continue to beat until blended.
Pour into crumbed 9" square pan (using crushed vailla wafers)
Top with a few crumbs on top.
Chill WELL.
Cut into squares.
(You can be daring and use oreos or graham crackers...)
