    1/2 cup fresh butter
    1/4 cup syrup
    1 cup brown sugar
    1/2 t. salt
    1/2 t. baking soda
    4 quarts popped corn

    Mix first four ingredients and boil in a saucepan for five minutes.
    Add 1/2 t. baking soda.
    Stir well.
    Pour over the popcorn.
    Spread on cookie sheet and bake at 200 degrees for one hour. Stir every 15 minutes. You may add Pecans, walnuts, peanuts or whatever you like.

    This was supposed to be for the kids, however we adyults almost ate it all!
