    I have put this in the freezer the AM. Will take it out for on one of our Easter desserts. Easy & Very good!

    1 stick of butter
    1/4 cup light brown sugar
    1 cup flour
    1/2 cup chopped pecans
    1/2 gallon of good vanilla ice cream

    Preheat oven to 400
    Cream butter & sugar with a fork or pastry cutter
    Add flour and blend with fork
    Stir in pecans
    Spread very flat in a 13x9 inch pan
    Bake for 10 minutes or until golden
    Remove from the oven and stir
    Reserve 3/4 cup of this mixture for topping
    Press remainder on bottom of a 13x9 inch pan and allow to cool
    When cool, fill with the 1/2 gal of ice cream
    Sprinkle the 3/4 cup of toping mixture on top of ice cream
    Cover air tight & freeze

    FUDGE SAUCE
    1/2 cup cocoa
    1/3 stick butter
    1 & 1/2 cups sugar
    1 cup cream
    1/8 t. salt
    1 t. vanilla

    Combine cocoa, sugar, butter & cream in a saucepan
    Stir and bring to the boil. Let boil 5 minutes, while stirring
    Remove from the heat. Add vanilla & salt
    Stir well
    Keep fudge sauce in refrigerator until ready to serve
    Cut dessert into 2x2 inch squares, and top with 1 t. of the fudge sauce & serve!
    Fudge sauce is goooooooooooood!
