    Sausage Gravy
    · 1 lb sage-flavored bulk pork sausage
    · 2 Tbsp finely chopped onion
    · 6 Tbsp all-purpose flour
    · 1 qt milk
    · 1/2 tsp poultry seasoning
    · 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
    · 1/4 tsp salt
    · 1 Pillsbury Grand Biscuits (bake according to directions on can, cool & slice)

    · Crumble sausage into a large saucepan; cook over medium-low heat
    · Add onion, cook & stir until transparent
    · Drain, discarding all but 2 Tbsp of drippings
    · Stir in flour, cook over medium-low heat about 6 minutes or until mixture bubbles and turns light brown
    · Stir in milk, add seasonings
    · Cook, stirring until thickened
    To serve, put on top of sliced biscuits

    I thought I give the Biscuit recipe to go with the gravy. The club soda is the (KEY)ingreadent.

    KFC Biscuits

    These are so light and flaky, make them and you'll never use canned biscuits again.

    Preheat oven to 400° to 450°
    1/2 cup butter, softened
    1/4 cup club soda
    2-1/2 Tbsp sugar
    1 tsp salt
    1 egg, beaten
    3/4 cup buttermilk
    5 cups Bisquick

    Combine all ingredients. Knead until smooth.
    Pat dough to 3/4 to 1" thick.
    Cut in squares or use round cutter.
    Bake on greased cookie sheet about 12 minutes or until golden brown.
