    Gary Solomon's 30-Minute Italian Sausage & Peppers

    2 lb. Sweet Italian Sausage
    3 med. onions, in wedges
    3 med. green banana peppers, in wedges
    3 red bell peppers, in wedges
    dash oregano
    dash basil
    2 dry hot red peppers, chopped
    5 T. extra virgin olive oil
    salt & pepper
    1 tsp. sugar

    Place sausage in greased pan and bake at 350F. degrees for 30 minutes. Meanwhile in a non stick pan with olive oil stirfry the peppers for 5 minutes over medium heat. Add in all the other ingredients. Cook for 10 minutes longer. Vegetables should still be partially crisp. Plate the pepper and onion mixture on a platter and top with the sausage. Serve with crispy Italian bread.
